Remembering Pearl Harbor
On Sunday, December 7th, 1941 the Japanese launched a surprise attack against the US Forces stationed at Pearl harbor, Hawaii. By planning his attack on a Sunday the Japanese commander Admiral Nagumo, hoped to catch the entire fleet in port.
As luck would have it, the Aircraft Carriers and one of the Battleships were not in port/ (The USS Enterprise was returning from Wake Island, where it had just delivered some aircraft. The USS Lexington was ferrying aircraft to Midway, and the USS Saratoga and USS Colorado were undergoing repairs in the United States.)
In spite of the latest intelligence reports about the missing aircraft carriers(his most important targets), Admiral Nagumo decided to continue the attack with his force of six carriers and 423 aircraft. At a range of 230 miles north of Oahu, he launched the first wave of a two-wave attack.
Beginning at 0600 hours his first wave consisted of 183 fighters and torpedo bombers which struck at the fleet in Pearl Harbor and the airfields in Hickam, Kaneohe and Ewa. The second strike, launched at 0715 hours, consisted of 167 aircraft, which again struck at the same targets.
At 0753 hours the first wave consisting of 40 Nakajima B5N2 "Kate" torpedp bombers, 51 Aichi D3A1 "Val": dive bombers, 50 high altitude bombers and 43 Zeros struck airfields and Pearl Harbor. Within the next hour, the second wave arrived and continued the attack. When it was over, the US losses were:

USS Oklahoma (BB-37) – total loss when she capsized and sank in the harbor.
USS California (BB-44) – sunk at her berth. Later raised and repaired.
USS West Virginia (BB-48) – sunk at her berth. Later raised and repaired.
USS Nevada (BB-36) – beached to prevent sinking. Later repaired.
USS Pennsylvania (BB-38) – light damage.
USS Maryland (BB-46) – light damage.
USS Tennessee (BB-43) – light damage.

AW2 for JO Mod
AW v2.0 is Stand Alone, like AW v1.x, which means you need original JO:TR installed to install it.
You just have to tell the Installer where to install it, the rest all is been taking care automatically.
You can´t install AW v2.0 into your JO Folder or the old AW v1.x Installation, for security reasons, the Installer won´t allow it.
You can run JO:TR, JO:ESC and DFX Maps with AW v2.0
DFX Coop maps will work too, but because of things that were changed in original DFX, the spawn waypoints don´t work. Only the first spawn works. So you can still play them, but its kinda harder a bit. *g*
Please register on our Bugtracker while the Installation Process, the link will be shown to you then. Only Bugs reported in the official Bugtracker will be processed and fixed, if indeed possible.
When you are a Server Administrator, please start your Servername with AW2 so people can easier find out what Mod it runs. On Novaworld AW2 Servers will only show the standard JO:TR Icon. Thats why it is important to mark them in the name.
The official Voice Channel for AW is on GSC (www.getgsc.com). GSC comes with the AW2 Installer, so you can install it at the end of your AW Installation. Link to download is in our forums
Finally after what seems like months and months...wait...it has been that long..Infinity Ward has some word on the map pack for PC players. Fourzerotwo has let us know through his blog that the map pack will be released on Thursday June, 5th. In other words that's in ONE WEEK from now.
The map pack is being released at no extra charge to PC users thanks to the sponsorship of Nvidia. Nvidia will apparently also be running a few promotions leading up to the release of the map pack as well as beyond that so look for the news on that here as well as it becomes available. The map pack will consist of the four maps which were already released to Xbox and PS3 users; Broadcast, Chinatown, Killhouse, and Creek.
So PC users get ready to snipe, shoot, stab and nade your way through these exciting maps. Hopefully this will satiate everyone's thirst for more maps, more multiplayer carnage and more multiplayer killing!!!
In relation to the newest patch coming out (1.6), this will also be released on June 5th, with the map pack for PC users. This upcoming patch will address a server crash exploit as well as a few new features and bug fixes.

That's right, the Call of Duty 4 Patch 1.5 has been released! This patch addresses the server browser issues existent in 1.4, so all servers should now display!
This patch also updates some mod tools related issues. To find a full list of the changes, see the official release notes here.

NOTE: You must have Patch 1.4 to install this patch. You all likely already have it, so don't worry. Also note that once you patch, no 1.4 servers will show up. So be sure to patch your servers first!
The Mod Tools also got an update today! This update is, as far as I can tell, to correspond with the 1.5 patch. The Mod Tools update is for NON-English speaking users only and can be downloaded here.
Infinity Ward has released their Map and Mod Tools! These tools include the CoD4 Radiant for mapping, some Maya binaries for modeling, and a suite of other tools required for making mods ranging from small server-side modifications to total conversions.

OK, The ShocknAwe JO mod has been finished and is approved. At the moment we are just waiting for NovaLogic to get the mod switched on so that it can be hosted on NovaWorld. In the mean time the map team is working on additional maps to be released as a separate download. We have included a few maps in the initial release of the mod and we will monitor them closely to see if there are any adjustments or revisions that need to be made in them. We will continue to create new maps for the mod and will have them available in the downloads section of Teamtxd.com
